Last updated: [DATE — e.g. 28 May 2026]
This policy explains what personal data Truebell collects when you join the waitlist, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a pre-launch waitlist — your email, and not much else.
Truebell ("we", "us") is a pre-launch project operated by Piotr Wasiak, an individual based in Poland, acting as the data controller for the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
For any privacy-related question or request, contact us at [[email protected]].
When you sign up for the waitlist, we collect:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | To contact you when the beta launches. |
| Consent record (the text you agreed to + timestamp) | To prove you gave valid consent, as GDPR requires. |
| IP address | Spam and abuse prevention (rate limiting). |
| Browser user-agent | Spam and abuse prevention; basic troubleshooting. |
| Signup timestamp | Record-keeping and consent proof. |
We do not collect your name, payment details, or any data about your YouTube account at this stage. The waitlist only stores the information above.
We use privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics (such as Plausible or GoatCounter) to understand aggregate traffic — for example, how many people visited and where they came from. This analytics does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites, and does not build a personal profile of you. Where an IP address is processed for this purpose, it is used only transiently to derive anonymous, aggregate counts and is not stored in a way that identifies you.
We keep your email and signup record until the earlier of: (a) you ask us to delete it, (b) you unsubscribe, or (c) a reasonable period after launch if you never engage. Database backups are retained for up to 30 days and then automatically deleted, after which your data is also removed from those backups.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. We never share it with advertisers. We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") strictly to operate the service:
Our server and most processing take place inside the EU. Some providers (for example, Resend) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.
The Truebell waitlist site does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics is cookieless. We may use only strictly necessary technical mechanisms required for the site to function.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email [[email protected]]. We'll respond within 30 days. You can also unsubscribe from any email we send using the link inside it.
If you believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO) — uodo.gov.pl.
We protect your data with measures appropriate to a project of this size: encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS), a firewalled server with key-only administrative access, restricted file permissions on stored data, and regular security updates. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your data safe.
Truebell is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the record.
We may update this policy as the project develops (for example, when the product launches and starts processing YouTube account data). We'll update the "last updated" date above, and for material changes affecting waitlist subscribers, we'll notify you by email.
